The following remarks apply to all the travel policies:

Taking out insurance
- The travel policies may be taken out by anyone registered in the Nordic countries who is covered by the general Nordic social insurance system.
- Travel cover has to be taken out for the whole period of travel. (Student, Help Line and Help Line Plus can also be taken out from the 46th day of travel if the travel cover provided by home insurance applies to the initial period. No period of grace is allowed.)
- A travel policy can never be backdated. It only comes into force when the premium is paid, unless agreed otherwise with Europeiska.
- The maximum period of cover is 365 days unless agreed otherwise with Europeiska. (N.B The period applicable to Security Checks without Basic Supplement is only 45 days.)
- Extensions are possible, but only if applied for and paid for before the initial period of cover expires. (For total period of cover, see above.) Extensions are arranged via Europeiska’s customer service.
- Refunds in respect of any unused cover time are payable to travellers who return home sooner than expected. (Refunds for Student, Help Line and Help Line Plus are per month not commenced.) Refunds are subject to a Europeiska handling charge of SEK 50.

- There are exclusions for certain hazardous activities, e.g. mountain climbing. Please contact Europeiska for further information.
- There are also exclusions for any illness or accident that exhibited symptoms before the journey commenced.
- There is no indemnity for expenses arising after the 28th week of pregnancy that relate to the pregnancy. This applies to the Student policy, the Business & Conference policy, Help Line and Help Line Plus.
- Europeiska provides help on the spot at all destinations. Travellers can recover immediately at their destination any outlays on medical expenses and medicines. The same applies to travellers who are robbed and need money quickly to enable them to continue their trip. Help is provided by the tour leader or by our own 24 hour Europeiska Service, which can also be telephoned for advice and other assistance. We also have a unique network of our own offices called Euro-Centers around the world, and our own alarm centre called Euro-Alarm.
- Europeiska customers’ policies are never subject to any excess.
